Craft focused entrepreneur, currently studying my final year of Textiles in Practice at The University of Huddersfield.

Since being a child, craft has always been a huge passion of mine. I have faced many struggles in my career as a craft entrepreneur, but being a mother gives me the drive and perseverance to peruse my dreams. 

The primary craft I practice is crochet, which is a skill I have developed and mastered over the years by taking commissions from a wide range of customers. Over the years I have created products ranging from baby fashion such as dresses, booties and headbands to amigurumi toys. Creating these commissions helped me to get to where I am today, when a regular customer requested a realistic replica of their pet Lhasa Apso. From here I realised the huge customer base looking for the perfect personalised product to represent their furry friend. 

My future goals for Skinner's Stitches is to create a sustainable and ethical business and find organic alternatives to the synthetic yarn I currently use. My plans also include my products becoming "bigger and better".

After graduating I will develop my pet replicas by creating a variety of life sized replicas of all breeds of dog, along with a range of other pet animals. I will also create and publish detailed patterns and tutorials allowing my customers to create their own pet replicas with ease!
